Brief Answer:
No it is not due to protein toxicity or Lcarnitine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am DR.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

If you look at the reference range, you can find that your SGOT and SGPT are only mildly elevated. I would not give much significance to this mild raise. You have done tests to rule out more serious issues and all found to be normal.

The most common cause for the mild raise in liver enzymes is fatty liver.Obesity, diabete, high cholesterol and alcohol intake are some of the common causes. If you have any of these issues you need to treat them.

You can repeat the liver function test after 3 months.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K

- i am 5'3" 64 kg now, in shape, but earlier joining gym i was 69-71kg range.

- i drink occasionally, at some occasions i drunk until i vomit it out. But that was a year ago, can it cause a damage that my reports show SGOT/PT raised after a year too ?

- i had a lipid profile test, and it is in normal range.

- my Blood pressure is also in normal range

I am going to attach my fibro scan report, may be that help you more to understand my situation.

Can i eat "Live 52 DS", someone was advising me for it ?

Can i have Whey Protein, Glutamine, Arginine and BCAA supplements without fear of liver damage ?

Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Sorry for the delay in replying.

1. No the alcohol drink you had one year ago is not responsible for this mild increase in liver enzyme levels.

2. Your fibroscan appears normal only

3. Yes you can take Liv 52. But it is not absolutely essential.

4. Whey protein in recommended dose is not going to harm your liver. Same with the other supplements.

You can repeat the liver function test after 3 months.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
