A little history: November went to dr. for server joint pain (said to be a virus/did not say which) WBC was
normal at time
December, vomiting (virus)
January, vomiting and diareha with abdominal cramping
I have a son in daycare so Im sure that doesn't help with becoming sick
I also have swallon lymph noides that become a little painful at time.
see dr in couple of weeks.
Any suggestions or things to look out for would be great to know.

Brief Answer:
Acute viral diarrhoea

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Healthcare magic
Thanks for posting your query.I went through your history and laboratory investigations.Correlating your symptoms along with lab reports ,diagnosis is most probably suggestive of acute viral diarrhea.

Your WBC counts are on a higher side.It means you are having infectious viral diarrhoea. If loose stools are associated with blood ting and mucus, diagnosis goes in favour of amoebic dysentry. As you have not mentioned about it, its sure that you are suffering from acute viral diarrhoea.

You need to follow these measures:
1.Drink plenty of oral fluids-ORS-oral rehydration solution which is accredited by WHO should be taken. It helps you to prevent dehydration and also replenishes lost electrolytes.
2.Take a complete course of antibiotics containing ofloxacin and tinidazole for 5 days.
Although diarrhoea is self limiting, antibiotics should be taken to prevent secondary bacterial infections.
3.Along with antibiotics, sporolac lactic acid bacillus tablets should be taken.

With these, your symptoms will get relieved.

Hope you are happy with the answer.
If any further queries, feel free to post.

Thank you

I don't have those symptoms any longer but was told I might have an infection. made a dr apt have not gone yet, appt date has not arrive. However the swallon lymph noides in my neck become a little more painfull and my neck stiffens sometimes. not sure if any or all of these systoms are related.

Brief Answer:
Not related

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
There is no relationship between the swollen lymph nodes in the neck to your abdominal symptoms.
As you are not having any of the abdominal symptoms now, no need to take the antibiotics that I had told you earlier.

Swollen glands are most probably due to any occult infection in and around the neck. It can be diagnosed only after doing physical examination.

Meanwhile if pain increases, you can take analgesics like ibuprofen.

Hope this helps you.

Feel free to post any further queries.

Thank you
