What Causes Elevated Amylase Levels When Diagnosed With Hemorrhoids?

Question: Hi,
I noticed blood in my shorts yesterday night. there was no pain. a few drops of blood.
no pain or other symptoms. Is this something to worry.
recently was diagnosed with piles. I was also taking an ayuverdic medicine for piles.
Could this cause any problem.
My recent blood test revealed high amylase value.
Please take a look at my recent blood report to see if anything is wrong

Based on the fact that you have been diagnosed to have piles the blood spots on your under ware are mostly from the bleeding from hemorrhoids that yo have .

Consult qualified Generak Surgeon for clinical examination and Proctological examination .He will be the best judge to decide regarding the modality of further treatment

You can use soothing ontment ;like Pilex ointment for local application .

The piles happened two months back and iam completely cured. This blood spot has occurred at the front side of the shorts near the penis.
Could you please take a relook at your diagnosis?
Also did you get a chance to see my reports?

Based on your statement I shall be happy if you provide few more details
1) Did you have sex on the night you noticed blood spot?
2) Did you masturbated on the night before going to sleep?

The blood on front side of inner wares is from urethra .If it is a single episode there and if you do not ave any other urinary symptoms there is nothing to be worried about it .

Take mild antibiotics like Norfolxacin and Nitrofurantoin twice daily for 5 days

Ensure to drink more water .

Thanks doctor for the quick response. I didnt have sex nor mastrubate the previous night.
I was on some ayurveda drugs. Not sure if caused any issue.
Also during my recent blood test noticed few kidney parameters low. Could you please take a look at it

It is difficuclt to make nay comments about the side effect of Ayurvedic drug that you are taking .

Since it a isolated incidence wait for few more days and if you gt these bllod spots again you will need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and further treatment .

In the mean while take Ciprofloxacin twice daily for 5 days .

Thanks doctor for your reply. In the report ine of the kidney parameter Globular filter rate is a little low. Is that a concern.
Also if i take spicy food, i get burning sensation inside my penis. Is that normal? I typically dont take any spicy food.
Also i was planning to wait before taking the antibiotics since i have gastritics and ibs.
Please advice .

Thanks for follow up .Slight lower GFR does not have significance as long as Kidney function is normal .

Spicy food can cause urethritis and there by burning in penis and while urinating .Avoid it as possible as you can

You can with held taking medications if symptoms are not too much bothersome
