There is no need to worry about this , unless you are diabetic.

Also checking blood sugar in capillary blood ( finger prick blood ) can show wide variations . So no need to do anything .

Just have something to eat and that's enough.

there is a history of diabetes in my family and I'm showing the tell tell signs of having it so I do think I should worry 120 while fasting is high and today while fasting it was 138 later tonight I ate a yogurt it went to 148 so I believe I should be worried

Well a value of more than 110 in fasting condition is abnormal, but I would recommend you to get post prandial blood sugars tested and also a test called HBA1C which will help in diagnosing whether you have diabetes or if there is at risk of becoming diabetic.
