Brief Answer:
Viral infections & chronic infections eg tuberculosis cause high lymphocyte

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Lymphocytes are elevated in infections and neoplasm.
Infections causing raised lymphocytes are viral infections, chronic infections like tuberculosis etc.
Neoplasms causing elevated lymphocytes are acute and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
It would be more informative if you could post the total leukocyte count and differential leukocyte count.

Brief Answer:
Total & differential leukocyte count would help further in interpretation

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,

The total and differential lymphocyte count would make things more clear.
I assume that 5.24 refers to absolute lymphocyte count of 5240.
Absolute lymphocyte count up to 2500 is normal and levels above 2500 are considered as lymphocytosis.
The causes of lymphocytosis are mentioned above.

Thanks and take care
