Question : We recently did a blood test for our 8 month year old son. They found some white blood cells in his stool. Not sure what that means or what to do next

                                    Brief Answer:
White blood cells
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
An elevated white blood cell count in the store could be a clue that there is a bacterial infection. Typically, stool will also descent for culture. This means that the stool is checked in the lab for the presence of bacteria. This test can take 24 to 48 hours to get the result. If bacteria does exist, antibiotics are prescribed. Once that is done, the infection typically disappears.

The results did come in for my 8 month old son. They found white blood cells in his stool. My question is could it be a sign of colon cancer or chrome disease?
