Lymph nodes draining the regions of the tonsils and throat
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am of the opinion that it’s absolutely normal CT Scan of the neck. The digastric group of lymph nodes mentioned in the report is seen in most of the normal individuals. It is the group of lymph nodes which drain the area of the tonsils, throat and back of the nose.
These nodes become significant if there is recurrent throat or nasal infection. In those situations, antibiotic would be required. Also, there is no mention of lymph nodes elsewhere in the neck. In that case, these nodes are considered less significant.
Hope this answers your query; I’ll be available for the follow up queries.
