Question : I have been experiencing periods of dizziness, room actually spins, for the last two days. It lasts only a minute but pretty scary. What can be the cause?
Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to sensorineural degenerative changes affecting inner ear
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The dizziness could be due to vestibulocochlear imbalance or sensoneural changes affecting the inner ear. In other words it could be due to degenerative changes of the hearing apparatus which is also associated with the organ or balance. Taking medicines like betahistine or cinnarizine (prescription medicines) could provide relief.
