Question: THREE YEARS AGO I WAS TREATED FOR PROSTATE CANCER.THE TREATMENT I HAD DONE WAS THE IMPLANTING OF RADIO ACTIVE SEEDS INTO THE PROSTATE. SINCE THEN ,MY PENIS IS TOTALLY NUMB. I CAN'T FEEL IT WHEN TOUCHED. THERE ARE CERTAIN WAYS THAT I SIT THAT I GET SEVERE PAINS IN THE HEAD OF THE PENIS. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ERECTION SINCE THEN. MY TESTICLES FEEL LIKE THEY A SHRINKING. COULD THE DR HAVE HIT A NERVE WHEN HE DID THE BIOPSY OR THR IMPLANTING OF THE SEEDS. IF SO CAN ANYTHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS?

Brief Answer:
hello dear. it indicates injury to parasympathetic nerves

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I understand your concern. Well if the numbness and loss of erection occured just after the implantation or biopsy, then it indicates an injury to the nerves at the same time. However if it has developed later on, then it may be related to disease itself or in case if u r taking some hormonal treatment then it may be side effect of it also.
Iam sorry to say, but it seems it is an irreversible process now. However you can still meet an XXXXXXX if something can be done for it.
Thanks and regards
