Question : A lot of people tell me I blink too much. This is the case since I was 20 or so. What is the cause of over blinking and what can be done
Brief Answer:
Please see detailed answer.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for query.
Excessive blinking can be caused by problems with the eyelids or anterior segment of eye habitual tics, refractive error intermittent exotropia or turning out of the eye, and stress. It is very rare for excessive blinking to be a sign of an undiagnosed neurologic disorder.
So proper evaluation should be done by a opthalmologist.
If possible try to capture video of blinking.
Thanks!
