Question : my baby just arrived from the hospital yesterday and is doing fine and eating well. no more sweating problems and is breathing just fine. however he has trouble sleeping and cries alot. not just crying but excessive crying kicking his feet. sometimes he cries so much he turns blue. I heard that we have to get use to it cause it some symptoms that babies get after such a big surgery. just wanted to know your thoughts on this matter.

Many a times no cause could be ascertained to excessive crying.Common causes of excessive crying in babies less than three months old are
.Flatulence
.colicky pain in abdomen
.physiologicaly many babies cry at night and during daytime they are fine
.Ear infection
.fever
.inadequate feeding
If we give medicines for these causes then they calm down.In your case colic or flatulence looks most probable cause

Thanks for your review
I would not recommend any home treatment such as some things given by mouth in infants less than six months.Because they can sometimes cause complications and infection.
Rocking,cuddling,use of air conditioner,taking out in open air ,music will do and should be used as home remedies for excessive crying
