Question: Thank you. I am a 71 yr. old female. I have had open heart, aortic valve surgery and take a lot of RXs. I have been taking b12 shots once a month and in process of iron infusions once a week. I have had a problem with very excessive facial sweating, hot flashed, weakness off and on for awhile, but it has been worse lately. Any ideas why

Brief Answer:
It is due to postmenopausal symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am,

Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
These symptoms can be due to postmenopausal symptoms due to estrogen deficiency, so you can consult a Gynecologist and get yourself examined and use hormonal replacement therapy if needed.
But you had heart surgery you should consult a Gynaecologist first whether you can go for it or not.
Hopefully it was found useful, feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck.
Regards
