Brief Answer:
Provide details regarding past medical history

Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms. XXXXXXX

Welcome to health care magic.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concern regarding weight gain and fluid retention.

Fluid retention occurs when the fluid is not removed from the tissues.

Most common causes of fluid retention include:
1. Exposure to hot weather where the body tends to be less efficient at removing fluid from tissues.
2. Dietary deficiency – such as insufficient protein or vitamin B1 (thiamine) in the diet.
3. Medications – antihypertensives, corticosteroids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are known to cause fluid retention.

I would like to know more details about your past medical history to rule out other medical causes of fluid retention.

Also provide details about any medications you have been taking for the past year.

I would like to suggest Tab Emeset for nausea and it has to be taken thrice daily before food for 2 days.

Few tips you can follow to reduce the body swelling:
1. Reduce salt in your diet.
2. Drink plenty of water.
3. Cut back on dehydrating drinks such as tea, coffee and alcohol.
4. Elevate foot end of bed while lying down to aid drainage of fluid.
5. Exercise more frequently if possible.

I hope I have helped.

Please get back with more details about your past medical history and I will be able to assist you better.

Thanks.
