What Causes Excessive Intestinal Gas And Diarrhea?
Question: Hi.
I am in didferent country since last 4 days , i had alot of gases yestarday and i had disflatyl twice , but today when i woked up just before 30 mins i had loose motion . Watery kind of stool . What i need to do ? I am eating very hygenic food here but and i come here every month actially nothing new for me. If i have 2 or more motion then what am i suppose to do .

You are suffering from Travelers diarrhea.The most common cause of traveler's diarrhea is enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) bacteria. These bacteria attach themselves to the lining of your intestine and release a toxin that causes diarrhea vomiting and abdominal cramps.
Treatment of travelers diarrhea is any one of the following in mentioned doses.
Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) 500 mg twice daily for one to three days
Rifaximin (Xifaxan) 200 mg three times daily for three days
Azithromycin (Zithromax) In adults: 500 mg daily for one to three days or 1,000 mg in a single dose.
These are prescribed medicines, Consult your local doctor to get them prescribed.
For gases take Nexium 40mg twice daily empty stomach.
Go for a stool test for microscopy to rule out if protozoa is overlapping infection with bacteria.
Take light easily digestible vegetarian food.
Drink A lot of potassium rich juices.
Keep your self hydrated.
Start therapy and you will be fine in a day or two.
