Question : I am on birth control pills and I am still bleeding on my 3rd day of active pills. And I still have some cramps. Is that normal? I have been on them for 5 years. Never happened before.

Hi dear and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern and I will try to help you.

There are many reasons that can cause breakthrough through bleeding even if you are on the first active pill.
And some of them are:
Infection
Polyps
Fibroids
Endometrial atrophy or hyperplasia
Hence contact with your gyn and schedule for :
Pap -smear
Transvaginal ultrasound
If these examinations will be normal than the cause of bleeding while you are on birth control pill may be from them.
