Brief Answer:
It is necessary to do some tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for asking.
I have gone through your query.

Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, can be a warning sign of thyroid problems, diabetes or infection. Excessive sweating is also more common in people who are overweight or out of shape

The good news is that most cases of excessive sweating are harmless.

There are a lot of causes that can cause excessive night sweats.
The main conditions and medicines that can cause your symptom are:
-obstructive sleep apnoea – a condition that causes interrupted breathing during sleep
-medication like – antidepressants and some other psychiatric drugs can sometimes cause night sweats as a side effect, as can aspirin and the steroid drug prednisolone
-alcohol abuse
-hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), which is commonly associated with diabetes and taking insulin
-infections – tuberculosis, endocarditis (inflammation of the heart valves), osteomyelitis (a bone infection), abscesses and HIV/AIDS
-pheochromocytoma and carcinoid syndrome (tumours that cause the body to overproduce hormones)
-Hyperthyroidism or overactive thyroid gland
_gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD)

As endocrinologist,my advice for you is to do the diabetes screening test, and the thyroid function test(TSH,free t3 and free T4).
Let me know your results and than we can discuss about the cause that may be the culpit of your excessive sweating and if we find the cause ,you can have the right treatement.

Hope this information is helpful.
If you have other questions, feel free to ask.
Take care.
