Question: I experinced excessive sweating, dizziness or lightheadedness when standing, muscle cramps in arm thumb & feet or toes, poor stamina in legs with shakiness in hands & legs when stamina was gone. High temp today was around 80 with nice breeze off lake. I also picked up conjunctivitis in both eyes. Typically very healthy 44 year old mail.

lethargic symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad that you have to undergo all this, and all the symptoms you described, are adding to your misery.

The symptoms like weakness, leg cramps and and fatiguability are described as lethargy, and can be an independent entity or part of any illness.

Normally, infectious diseases do present initially like these symptoms and history of temperature supports that.

Also if there any kind of electrolytes, vitamins or minerals abnormalities, that can give the picture as you described.

In any case, I won't suggest you to just start symptomatic treatment only, rather I will urge you to visit your GP and let him run some screening tests on you, including all baseline investigations along with blood cultures. Also get the levels of thyroid hormone and random blood sugars done.

Meanwhile, increase hydration, and drink plenty of water and fluids. Start using analgesics like acetaminophen for symtoms tic relief. For conjunctivitis your GP may advise you some antibiotic eye drops along with steroids for few days. Add supplements to your regimen to overcome any defficiencies, and schedule your diet on a balanced plan.

Your condition asks for a GP visit as soon as possible, and can't be taken for granted.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me generously before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
