Question : I have sticky white saliva and i have a hard time getting it out of my throat and nasal system. It seems to get worse at night after ive been asleeep for a couple of hours. Durring the day it only occures sporaticaly. When i wake up at night it seems to be stuck in my lungs, after hacking up a bit it becomes easier to spit it up. What seems to help is if i have something salty it breaks up the saliva, ive been washing out my mouth out with salt water and that helps a lot.

You are most probably having post nasal discharge
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having
Post nasal discharge causing you to clear throat frequently.
It may be because of allergy.
If I were your treating Doctor for this case, I would advise you
Plenty of fluids,
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal spray thrice daily,
Syrup mucolytic thrice daily &
Tab Antihistaminic at night.
Continue salt water gargle.
You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription.
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards,
