Question: I am a 69 year old white woman. I have been diagnosed with Addison's Disease: Pagets Disease; Ostoarthritis heart atrial wall replacement; sleep Apnea; Right & Left knee replacement;Neuro stimulated implant.
I have experience excessive sweating for 2 days now, and cramping in all parts of my legs, and hands. No vomiting, but feels like cramping in my abdomen. Also feel off- balanced, but havn't fallen. Stools have been soft, not loose. I am concerned about the sweating & cramping. I can walk or move my legs without them cramping. Las night it took a good half hour to stop sweating!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Cramps appears to be due to dehydration. Dehydration is due to excessive sweating. Need to take plenty of water and other fluids.
2. Sweating could be due to hot climate or fever. If any recent medication added or changed, will need to look at it closely due to excessive cholinergic activity particularly effexor side effect. More details necessary for further opinion.
3. Do take good amount of fluids. Diet can be normal. Potassium rich diet like potato, avocado, nuts, legumes etc will be helpful.
If possible, get potassium levels checked.

Do get back with medication or more details regarding possible cause of sweating.
Stay in cool climate. Avoid excessive clothing or covering.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
