Question : my husband began sweating profusely, felt light headed and developed severe lower abdominal pain after eating dinner at a friends home. He has an iron stomach, so this is very un-nerving. He used the bathroom, but still is sweating and feeling light headed.

Its possible heart attack

This is sounding absolutely like a heart attack.
People need not always have chest pain.
Get to a ER immediately to rule out heart attack.
I am assuming there are no associated prior comorbidities.
