What Causes Excessive Sweating?

Question : Wokke up around 1:30 last night. tried to get up to go to the bathroom. Staggered around and fell twice. Got violently nauseated, came back to bed. collapsed on top of covers. Sweat profusely for a couple of hours. Hair was still wet this morning. Any ideas?

This could be anything, I wonder about a viral syndrome, also thyroid DZ

Welcome to HCM: the symptoms could be caused by many things really, however, at your age I would consider, Diabetes, hyperthyroidism, viral fever and bacterial infection, I would visit with a doctor to do some preliminary blood tests to make sure that the above are in order. I hope this helps.

I suspect hypothyroidism. I've been having weird sweats during the day. I'm working out of town but will call my endocrinologist tomorrow. Thanks.
