Brief Answer:
Blood sugar and kidney ultrasound.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The most common cause of excessive thirsty is Diabetes Mellitus.
I would suggest to test your blood sugar to exclude this possibility.

The discomfort that you feel in your kidneys might be due an kidney condition.
Since your urine tested clear for urinary tract infection,I would suggest to do an Kidney Ultrasound and an evaluation of kidney function that includes :serum BUN and Creatinine.

If the tests of kidney function result normal and the kidney ultrasound is normal, then this dull pain might be due to muscular spasm or spine problems.

Hope it was of help.
Let me know if you have other questions or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

Kind Regards!
