I was out with my friends Friday night drinking. Yesterday morning I was hung over and vomited 4 times and my vomits was clear. I dry heaved a few times and spit and if was red. I then drank water got sick again and it was cleR. I drank a red bull and 20 minutes later felt the need to vomit again the vomit was tinted red then the vomit following that was bright red. I did not vomit anymore. Last night I made myself sick and the vomit was cleR and also thus morning the vomit was clear. Does this sound like a tear or bad internal bleeding. I have no pain or other symptoms
Brief Answer:
Laceration of mucosa due to vomiting...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for providing more details.
You are reporting to be out with your friend Friday night drinking. Perhaps you have been drinking too much and vomiting is a clear reaction to heavy drinking.
The red (blood) you saw in your vomit was due to laceration of the esophagus or throat mucosa due to vomiting the stomach fluid which is low in pH (corrosive). You might be vomiting too often that caused laceration and little bleeding which has disappeared later on.
I advise to drink plenty of water and have light meals (soups, yogurt, etc.) instead of heavy meals to avoid vomiting.
Try to not drink for at least some time, until everything is resolved.
If symptoms will persist, should consult with GI specialist for further evaluation.
For the moment, avoid heavy drinking and follow a healthy diet and lifestyle regimen.
Wish fast recovery!
