default
Posted on Tue, 12 Apr 2016
Question: I noticed today that I have extensive swelling only on my left arm, from my fingertips to my elbow. I have no fever and no pain. My skin feels the same temperature as my right arm. Should I plan a visit to Urgent Care?

Brief Answer:
Needs workup for the cause of unilateral edema

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. unilateral arm swelling with no history of trauma or color change or temperature change should be evaluated as it could be vascular or local pathology. It needs a little work up like doppler sonogram and radiographs and other baseline work up and heart monitoring to sort it out.
I hope it helps. plan an urgent visit andlet them have a look. if the pain increases or temperature drops of the limb or color changes rush to ER.

Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
