Question: I have recently been experiencing extreme exertion, loss of appetite, nausea, low blood pressure, fever between 100 and 103 degrees for the last week. Chest pain, rib cage pain and pain between my shoulders. My WBC is 2.1. and I have difficulty swallowing. Given those symptoms, do you have any clue what could be going on?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be due to a viral infection.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone very carefully through the details provided and understand your concerns. The low WBC count signifies that you are likely to be suffering from a viral infection and the mentioned symptoms correlate with the same. You have to take paracetamol or acetaminophen in order to relieve the temperature of the body aches. Please be patient. It should subside spontaneously in 7-10 days from the onset.

Take juicy fruits like citrus fruits as they contain plenty of potassium which is essential for healthy functioning of muscles. Also drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest and use tepid sponging in order to relieve temperature when needed.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
