Brief Answer:
Fatigue is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

It is normal for one to feel fatigue after two bouts of bronchitis. Here is what you should do about it

1. I usually start my patients on multi vitamin tablets. This replenishes the essential elements and also improves immunity
2. it is important that you do some exercise , cardio vascular exercises like walking and cycling are ideal. This will help build strength. It might be difficult at first but it is essential
3. if the fatigue continue even after 8 weeks then get your vitamin d leve tested, extreme fatigue is often because of low vitamin d. Other causes are low hemoglobin, thyroid dysfunction and diabetes

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I am already on B12 once monthly and iron injections monthly for the next 3 months, maybe this this a contributing factor? I make myself get up and do some routine activities and seem to do well for a few hours. If I do more than that, I'm totally exhausted and finding myself not wanting to do anything else for the day but rest or sleep. Before the bronchitis I never slept during the day. MY appetite has decreased, I have to make myself eat. I'm just want to feel better and it seems like no matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get moving.

Brief Answer:
Recovery

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back with the above details. B12 and iron injections should not cause these symptoms. It usually takes a couple of weeks to recover completely. It is worthwhile getting tested for the following tests done to see for any abnormality
1. Complete hemogram to check for anemia
2. Vit D levels
3. Thyroid function test
4. Fasting blood sugar.

My other suggestions are

1. Have a carbohydrate rich diet
2. avoid food rich in salt
3. Maintain adequate hydration by drinking plenty of water. About 2 litres per day
