Question : I have been having extreme fatigue, and I'm not diabetic but my daughter is. So, when I feel dizzy I've used her meter to check my blood sugar & I'm always low. I was 70 & ate a big dinner with juice to drink & I felt dizzy tired so I checked my blood sugar over an hour after I ate & I was 66. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
needs to rule out insulinoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible hypoglycaemia episode.
I think I would suggest that you get insulin levels tested. While your sugars are not yet low, I would be concerned about the sugars remaining low despite food intake.
Do let us know the report.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
