Brief Answer: Back pain is often associated with hysterctomy Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM. In my clinic I have come across people complaining from back pain following hysterectomy often. This is more often seen when you start moving early or when you are more active soon after surgery. Hysterectomy also causes women to hunch over to protect their abdomen and if its done for long then they develop back pain because of the change in centre of gravity. I would be to know what was the reason for hysterectomy. I were to first investigate by examination and doing the X-ray if required. Then depending on the cause.Support belts/brace for the back with analgesics will relieve your pain.I would suggest to walk up-right as far as possible and avoid sitting on the floor or lifting heavy weights/bending. Hope this answers your question.

the hyster. was to remove cervical cancer and he put this bladder sling thing in. does any of this sound like kidney stones or bladder /kidney infection?

Brief Answer: Kidney infection is unlikely. Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing back. Kidney infection manifests as dull aching pain & seems unlikely because the pain does not radiate. Pain due to kidney stones mimics the pain described above.Do you have history of kidney stones in the past? However I were to also do a CT of Lumbo sacral spine to rule out pain due to spread of the cancer cells from cervix to spine or surrounding structures. Hope this answers your question.
