Brief Answer:
Use simple analgesics and symptomatic management for relief

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
The dry mouth is from mouth breathing which many with COPD do to cut out the dead space of breathing through the nose. Also spiriva and Advair has components that can produce dryness.
You can take small sips of water or just wet your mouth and spit out the water.
The back ache may require to be investigated.
It is probably due to lumbar spondylosis. There may be osteopenia and vitamin D deficiency in addition. A plain Xray of the lumbosacral spine may show the degeneration.
Sleep on hard, orthopedic bed. Avoid picking up things from the floor by bending forward. Simple analgesics, muscle relaxants , local warmth and physiotherapy would help alleviate the pain.
Avoid opioid medicines as these can produce further dryness of mouth and constipation .
Best wishes

Brief Answer:
N acetylcysteine and PPI may be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Yes, they may cause back pain but not to any severe degree and at your age other causes also may be considered.
You are on the best medicines with least side effects and well established in the treatment of COPD.
The oral agent N -acetylcysteine has antioxidant and mucokinetic properties and is used to treat patients with COPD. However, the efficacy of mucolytic agents in the treatment of COPD remains controversial. Addition of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) to conventional therapy may significantly decrease COPD exacerbations.
If indicated by your SPO2 levels, you would be better with home oxygen therapy in addition.
