Question : MARCH 20TH 2015 I HAD AN EPISODE OF EXTREME PAIN TO LEFT CALF AREA, AN ULTRASOUND TAKEN & SAID IT WAS A CYST & IT WENT AWAY NEXT DAY. XXXXXXX 13 I DEVELOPED EXTREME PAIN BEHIND LEFT KNEE US REST & HEATING PAD & NEXT DAY HAVE ONLY MINOR DISCOMFORT WHEN WALKING. I THINK IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM IN NEW AREA. DOES A CYST WORK THAT WAY? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.
Brief Answer:
cyst doesn't work like that.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
cyst may not dissappear suddenly and migrate to other place.
There can be possibility of associated venous thrombosis leading to such symptoms.
I will advise you colour doppler of calf.
Till time take analgesic and neurotropic medication like methylcobalamine consulting your doctor.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and Tens may give you relief.
I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.
