Brief Answer:
Osteoarthritis of the joint

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

You seem to have early changes of Osteoarthritis of the great toe. The most common ailment of the toe apart from calluses, bunions. Do you see any skin lesions as well on the toe?
I suggest an Xray of the 1st Metatasophalyngeal joint, AP and Lateral view to check the arthritic changes. This area is more prone for early degeneration because it bends every time you take a step.

I suggest alternate contrast bath, that means take two buckets of water, one hot water and one cold water of the temperatures that are tolerable by you. Keep the foot in cold for 30 min and then shift to hot bucket and then back to cold. This way you can achieve pain free.
You can take TYLENOL double strength. You can use metal bases in your sole so that they support this joint and reduces the bending of the joint while you walk. Use shoe that has large toe box that reduces the pressure.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
