What Causes Extreme Weakness With A Shoulder And Neck Pain?

Question: I have had extreme weakness with a very sore back, neck and shoulders. my feet feel like they are in shoes to small, even when I'm not wearing any shoes. My face and forearms and hands are all numb and tingly. Some runny nose and spitting up just a small amount of thick flem. Nave a deep cough, but not all the time. Had fever for a couple of days. Have been proscribed amoxicillin for the what ever it is. been down for 10 days. feet better today, hands and arms better today. Back very sore from just below neck to waist. No energy.

From the symptoms you have described it looks like you are suffering from viral infection. Malaise, bodyache, tiredness weakness are all typical of a viral infection.
Weakness will persist for a week even after the infection subsides.

Do not worry , you will get better soon.

Finish the course of antibiotics that has been prescribed to you.
You can take pain killers like Tylenol or ibuprofen after confirming your dose.

Remember to eat healthy food and drink plenty of fluids.
Take lots of rest and you will be fine soon.

It must be one heck of a virus. I've never felt so miserable for so long. Will continue on meds. I am to stop back by for a blood sample and urine sample on the 26th. Hopefully they can get my potassium levels back to normal, they say low potassium can cause fatigue and aggravate my coughing. Been a tough 10days that's for sure. Thanks for your response.
current meds:
hydrochlorothiazide 25mg
aspirin 81mg
potassium CL Micro 20meq twice a day
amoxicillin 875mg
amlodipine 5mg
losartan pot 50mg twice daily
simvastatin 40mg at bed time
Also take Osteo Bi-Flex to help with junk shoulders. 2 tablets a day.
