Brief Answer:
Please go in to be seen and have an EKG.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I am glad your symptoms passed, but I am concerned about what might have been going on. Sometimes coronary ischemia can give symptoms like this. It could have been from acid reflux or a reaction to the food you were eating, but it could also be a small heart attack.

I strongly advise that you go in to be seen by a doctor. If you go to the ER, they can check certain cardiac enzymes that can elevate within 24 hours of a heart attack. Also, sometimes it can show up on an EKG as a "Q wave", but not always.

So even if your symptoms are better now, I think this should be checked out.

Please let me know how you are doing after you are seen. Thanks.
