Brief Answer:
check BP; x ray neck and calcium vit d levels. it is treatable dont worry!

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Your main complaint is a falling like feeling when you lie down to sleep- followed by panic due to the same. There is associated pain in left shoulder and cramp in left leg.

It would have been helpful had you mentioned the duration of all the problems and if there is any correlation with an injury.

You haven't mentioned anything about your blood pressure but it will be wise to check it. Take readings in both sitting and sitting down positions and see the change. If the difference is more than 20 mm of Hg- you need to see a cardiologist/ physician. I have seen this giving rise to such sensation in my patients.

The pain in shoulder can be due to cervical and so can be the feeling of fall". So, I think taking an X ray neck can help in your case. I have seen several patients in my clinic where x ray has helped in diagnosis and management of similar complaints.

According to my clinical judgement - the leg cramps - especially in night: may be due to calcium deficiency (or vit b 12 /vit D linked). It may be checked by getting the levels and correcting the deficiency.

So, though there is a problem but it looks benign and treatable...therefore there is no need to take so much stress...you will become fine!

So, you may discuss the above points with your treating team and proceed further.

I hope the reply helps you. Feel free to ask more questions for clarification.
