
What Causes Fat Accumulation In The Lower Abdomen?

Question: Hello Dr. Rynne I have gained weight in my lower abdomen and and just don't know whether I need to worry about if it is gall bladder or tumor of some kind. I have no pain but it is just uncomfortable.

I don't have any more symptoms, no vomiting, no constipation, the headache has not come back and no prior illnesses. I guess it has to do with my menopausal symptoms. Thank you , sir!

I think it would be better to test with a ultrasound of the abdomen.
As you said, it could be due to a problem of a abdominal organ.
However, in absence of any other symptom, its difficult to say for sure why you have the problem.
It would be wrong to blindly attribute it to menopause.
I think it would be prudent to consider getting the ultrasound.
