Question : I'm experiencing unusual fatigue, groggyness and headache after using periogen. I'm using it twice a day after brushing with sonic toothbrush. I'm using the Periogen in a Waterpic and applying all around the gum area. I was diagnosed with periodontal disease by my Denist so after dental cleaning I went home and looked on the internet and ordered the Periogen. I've only been using the Periogen for 5 days and the onset of my symptoms were almost immediate. Could this be because of bacteria being dislodged or being pushed into my gums (just guessing of course).

periogen is a good product for dissolving calculus and tartar.its active ingredients are Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate (TKPP) and Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP).its safe and approved by FDA.

generally there is no symptoms of unusual fatigue and headache is seen using periogen.

sometimes due to the use of excess water force by waterpic can swollen the gingiva.

This should be fine in a few days . I would advise discontinuing the water pick for a while.

If the problem persists or gets worse, i would advice you to visit your dentist.

I didn't feel the periogen was unsafe to use I just wondered why I it seemed I was having a reaction using it and wondered it that had been experienced by others. I've never really had such a dry mouth all the time either. Is this usual?

I would advice you to stop using the product for 4-5 days after discussing with your doctor and watch your condition.
