Question : I am recently experiencing full body restlessness and agitation. Although it's everywhere, my legs suffer most. I'm not sleeping at night, tossing and turning, and when I wake in the morning I feel as though I never slept. I, in turn, am tired, fatigued, and irritable all day. By mid day I am weak and feeling as though I was hit by a train. No matter how tired I am, I can't seem to get a decent night sleep. What could be the cause or solution? My Xanax isn't working, nor are my sleep aids.
Brief Answer:
You seem to have what is called restless leg syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Sorry to read about your sleepless nights. What this seems to be is called restless leg syndrome. however, this can also be an organic cause due to Iron deficiency. SO it is imperative that this level is checked along with your basic blood work. The treatment of course for iron deficiency will be iron supplements, but if is restless leg syndrome then the medication called ropinirole is highly effective. I hope this helps, good luck and thanks.
