What Causes Fatigue, Headache, Dizziness And Nausea With Gastric Discomfort In Rectum?

default

Question: Hello, This is an odd and embarrassing symptom that I can only describe as a buzzing sensation in my rectal, anal area. It happens sort of rhythmically, on and off. I suspect that it has nerve involvement. Also wondering if I should be tested for worms or parasite. This symptom may or may not be related to others that have been cycling for several weeks: fatigue, headaches, nausea, dizziness, aches are the most prevalent. Have been doing much research, had some labs-all negative, ruling out Lyme, thyroid, B12, RA. Feeling dismissed by my primary care md. Closest I come to self-diagnosis is ciguatera fish poisoning, as I was recently in the Caribbean and had a reaction to something. I know that this works its way out of your body eventually. In addition, wondering if I do have CFP, if it could trigger other latent viruses in my body. Thank you for your assistance.

Brief Answer:
Acidity , parasites or haemorrhoids can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Acidity , internal haemorrhoids or fissures or parasites can give such symptoms. You can do a stool microscopy to rule out parasites. Doing worm eradication by single dose Albendazole (anti helminthic) is also good.

If there is acidity symptoms like gastric discomfort then you can take proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole (Nexium) for 1 week.

In case of constipation or had stools taking stool softeners like lactulose at bed time also is helpful. You can also take probiotics to normalize your gut flora. Taking yogurt or kefir or curd is also good.

If still there is no improvement then a digital examination should be done by consulting a general surgeon or proctologist.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
