Brief Answer:
Stress induced symptoms. Endocrine issues rare possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

I am Dr. Neel Kudchadkar and I will help you with this puzzling issue.

I have read your query and I feel that :

Most of your problems are due to high levels of stress. This is true.

Sleeplessness, loss of weight, fatigue and intolerance to the psychotropic (mind altering) effects of alcohol are pinpoint signs of low levels of cortisol in your blood stream. This is because of stress. You would not believe how profoundly mental tensions affect the physical body.

In medical school, every doctor is drilled that the commonest and most benign diagnosis is the surest one, as compared to diagnosing some rare disease.

When you mention Purple feet, I think of peripheral cyanosis. The constellation of weight loss and alcohol intolerance suggests a probable endocrine reason. To be on the safe side and to be really sure, I would send you to a person who has an MD in endocrinology. Even if, you are diagnosed with an endocrine hormonal problem, I would say that it can be corrected with the right easy treatments available. This is a fact. You probably know this.

May I ask if you have any concurrent longstanding illnesses? If you do have, and perhaps have visited any healthcare facility in the past, you might wish to photograph these medical reports, and mail them to YYYY@YYYY

Kindly consider this opinion that I have provided you with. Any diagnosis should always be open to review.

If you have any questions or doubts, or are not convinced in some way that this is not "your" diagnosis, please feel free to write back to me. I will be prompt in my response.

I would like your opinion on this.

Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
