What Causes Fatigue?

default
Posted on Wed, 15 Oct 2014
Question: I always.. ALWAYS feel tired and lazy. For example: I went to bed around 3 am last night, slept about a full 12 hours and woke up around 3pm today, felt exhausted around 6 pm and slept for another 4 hours. I feel like this could happen everyday if I weren't a college student and didn't have to force myself out of bed. This started around this time last year as a freshman in college. There is a complete absence of a sleep schedule in my life, and when I do get a good amount of time for sleep, I still wake up tired and most likely will end up falling back asleep. Even right now for having got 16 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours, I am battling staying awake. This is really affecting my study life as I have missed several classes due to simply not being able to establish a healthy sleep schedule. When I am in class, or when I get home and try to start on homework, I cannont concentrate and It's extremely difficult for me to follow professors in lectures. I feel like I can hardly every bring myself to do anything; I have not left my bed all day. Over all I feel like my metabolism is getting slower and slower by the day. I am overweight and I also suffer from anemia. I feel like I'm too young to be feeling like this daily. I need help.

Other than this the habit of getting sleep medicine from over the counter is spoiling it. It is better to avoid these medicines if you are sleeping excessively.

I look forward to see you with thyroid profile reports in coming days. If you have any question before that let me know. I will be happy to assist you.
