What Causes Fatty Liver, Pain Under Left Rib And Constipation?
Question: Chest x ray clear
ultra sound clear
blood tests ok bur raised liver function due to fatty liver (confirmed)
I have been to a gastro specialist who reviewed my symptoms and test results and advised stitch pain etc under left rib is from constipation .
The pain has subsided since cutting out bread and taking more fiber and keeping regular but I now feel I move certain ways and feel a very light pop feeling under left rib...I can do it all the time if I try..
no pain , just an odd feeling.
it feels like a pop or click now instead of the stitch feeling it used to be constantly.

The symptoms you have mentioned now are feeling of light pop or a click instead of a stitch feeling before cutting out bread and increasing the fiber and keeping regular.
You are getting this only on moving in a certain way.
The possibilities are that you suffered from costochondritis which is healing and hence the pop or clicking feeling on the lowest rib or in the muscles attached to it and going to the abdomen.With age the cartilages also get toughened and give the feeling that you have on specific movement.
This is not common but surely known to occur in many patients. This can not be detected by X-ray or an ultrasound.
This needs to be well palpated and examined by a Doctor who knows about this. Hence I would advise to discuss this with your treating Doctor to be evaluated and treated accordingly.
The raised liver functions and the fatty liver may not be related to this symptom.
If this would have been related to the colon or small intestine, you would have definitely got another associated symptoms too.
