Question : Since last night I have been feeling numbness from the left side of my neck to my forearm. I'm currently on simvastatin for my cholesterol. I've been on it for 3 months. I was born with adrenal hyperplasia. My blood pressure is very low since I was also born with a salt deficiency. Am I having a stroke? My face is not uneven.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that it can be a stroke but there can be many other reasons also it can be cervical spondylitis or other neurological impingement syndrome . But it will be difficult to say anything just on the basis of the history .

I will advise you to get a carotid doppler done urgently along with MRI brain if required . Please see a neurologist for the same because it needs to be seen whether its just a sensory thing or involves motor tracts also needs to be seen .
In my opinion you should seek medical care at the earliest.

Take care.
