Question : Hello, I had an outer ear infection which I went to my doctor for. He gave me Acetasol HC. Ive been on it for 4 days now. The ear doesn't hurt anymore like it did before but it feels real full and muffled hearing. I feel like most of it is probably from The medicine sitting in there. I can still feel it sloshing around. Is that normal? Also can I flush my ear with water after Im done with the week of Acetasol?
Brief Answer:
Block could be due to wax or crusts or middle ear infection...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
The blockage sensation in the ear could be due to accumulated wax or crusts in the auditory canal. Occasionally, the external ear infection may be associated with middle ear infection which can also present in the similar manner. Hence, washing the ear with water can worsen your problem.
So in other words, the symptoms don't seem to be from normal circumstances. My humble suggestion to you is to consult your doctor and get the ear examined thoroughly.
Hope I have answered the query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.
