Good morning Since about 2 days & while i climp the stairs about 10 floors running . I felt like a heaviness in my lower left jaw & it lasts about 2 hours . No other symptoms . It is very mild heaviness or pain . I can't explain it exactly . Note : i did an EKG last week in a routine test for my ... company & it was good . Thanks God . Last week i was in a trip from Amsterdam to Berlin & when the plane started to land i felt a needle pain over my left eye borrow (very painful) & it subsides when landed . I called my ENT doctor & he told me it is a Sinus issue . I did a stress test january 2014 & it was good . Usually i take the stairs since 3 years instead of using elevators & i am at the 11th floor & i use to climp them 4 or 5 times a day .

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms seems atypical for cardiac disease...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms seems atypical for cardiac disease, or gastrointestinal, pulmonary and ENT problems. However I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out the exact nature of your problems:
- Cardiac Echo
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Chest X ray
- Stress test
- Skull X ray

If everything is normal than you have nothing to worry about and is more likely related to extreme fatigue during climbing 10 floors running.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Even that you don't have pain in chest or arm, you should exclude cardiac problems. Sometimes cardiac pain is located in such atypical location as Jaw region and patient doesn't have chest pain but only jaw pain. This is why i suggested to do cardiac ECHO and stress test to exclude any cardiac problems.

Brief Answer:
You don't reach the needed physical effort to provoke the pain every time..

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Your pain is atypical by location, duration this is why i said from the beginning it doesn't looks cardiac related.

The only thing that makes me think twice about your pain is the fact that you experience the pain on extreme training. You don't feel the pain all the times you exercise, because you don't reach the needed physical effort to provoke the pain every time you exercise.

However to definitely exclude any cardiac problems is recommended cardiac echo and stress test. If they are normal you will definitely exclude cardiac problems.

You said before it is a typical for cardiac disease but now you say it doesn't looks cardiac related . You mean what ?
Also pls note that i sometimes makes my exercise more difficult by lefting 20 KG more (dumbels) when running the stairs (about 10 floors) & of course i reach to the maximum heart rate without any jaw ptoblem . That's why i beleive it is mot a cardiac issue . Also pls note that i have s cervical Spondolyses in Neck area & i have a sliding histus hernia .

Hi back,

I never said that your pain is typical for heart disease.
In the first answer i wrote: "Your symptoms seem atypical for cardiac disease".
In the second I wrote: "Sometimes cardiac pain is located in such atypical location as Jaw region... “(I'm not saying that your pain is typical for heart disease. But that sometimes patients with heart problems may have only Jaw pain and you should exclude cardiac problems.)
In the third answer I wrote: "Your pain is atypical by location, duration this is why I said from the beginning it doesn't looks cardiac related."

As you can see my opinion is that your pain isn't heart related. However some tests are needed to confirm my opinion and to definitely exclude cardiac problems. My opinion as an expert cardiologist is that cardiac problems should be ruled out definitely in every patient with pain during exercise in chest region or such atypical areas (as arms, stomach, jaw etc.).

You are reporting to have cervical spondolyses and hiatus hernia that may explain Jaw pain.

Wish you health!
