Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The most common cause for such a feeling in the groat is swollen and inflamed lymphoid (tonsil-like) tissue which is normally present in the throat. A Post Nasal Drip (PND) of mucus must be ruled out. Sign of allergy and reflux need to be looked for.
2. If this persists after routine treatment, a Videolaryngoscopy is advised to settle the diagnosis.
3. Medication should include an anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory, anti-reflux medication. Use Tantum or Garbenz medicated gargles. In some patients, a short course of steroids is required.
4. Upload images or a video for further treatment advice.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
