Brief Answer:
thanks for the clarifications
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
Firstly it is difficult to simply swallow saliva, sometimes impossible also, but it is normal. Plain saliva cannot be swallowed by majority of people.
Foreign body sensation ie feeling opf something stuck in the throat is a common feeling in people who suffer from gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD).
GERD is nothing but reflux of gastric acid from the stomach into the esophagus.
GERD can produce foreign body sensation in the throat, Heart burn, sore throat and cough.
Please see a physician to confirm the diagnosis. You may even need an upper GI endoscopy to confirm the diagnosis.

Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
