Brief Answer:
The symptoms are occurring due to anxiety or nutritional deficiencies.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

I can understand your concern. You have vibrating feelings or numbness in left foot that is not persistent and occurs after every 5-10 seconds. You are also taking 50 mg Zoloft.

Zoloft is inwon to increase restlessness in some individuals but that is seen usually in first few days of therapy. The increased restlessness sometimes present with numbness, so i dont think sertraline is the cause of these symptoms. Episodic numbness in foot might occur due to anxiety or also due to nutritional deficiencies. Iron deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency etc are known to cause numbness. So start taking multivitamin supplements and you will see improvement. Please visit a doctor if symptoms persist otherwise no need to worry. The symptoms are not serious.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

Take care

Hello thank you for answering.. I guess I'm just wotried because it doesn't feel like numbness.. it's like a vibration, would that be considered tingling? It's been constant for around 3 hours or so.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Even vitamin B12 deficiencies can cause similar symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking again

Yes even though the symptoms are more like true vibrations or like tingling still no need to worry, these are not persistent and are occurring in episodes. Mild irritation of nerves of particular area of body or even alteration of blood supply of affected part might result in similar symptoms. No need to worry for that, if you have prescription of any good anti anxiety drug like Clonazepam then that should help to control these symptoms immediately.

Vitamin B12 deficiencies can also cause similar symptoms. Taking the supplements regularly over some time result in improvement of symptoms. Drugs like Gabapentin or Pregabalin etc can also help. Visit a doctor for prescription of these drugs if needed.

Thanks, Hope this helps. Still have more doubts please ask again.
