                                            Could be stones again
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
From the query, I gather that you have pain in the kidneys and discomfort in the passage of urine. In view of prior history of renal stones, I think the possibility is strong that you have developed renal stones again.
The stones may in fact be in the kidney which is why we have the pain in the kidneys.
It would be a good idea to do some testing. I would recommend that you test for urine routine, ct scan of the abdomen as the initial tests. I would have thought of ultrasound first, but that's frequently falsely negative.
Meanwhile, I suggest you to have plenty of fluids, and painkillers sos.
Avoid too much pain killers as they may in fact cause damage to the kidneys. The kidneys may already be under damage due to the stones. Testing creatinine would be good too.
A possibility of infection also has to be considered. So I would suggest urine culture as well.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
Please feel free to contact me for further information.
Best of luck.
Dr Mittal.
