What Causes Femoral Saphenous Reflux On Leg?

Question: I have told I have femoral Saphenous reflux on my left side. My leg is swollen and it hurts from the knee down to my ankles which are also swollen. Does this mean I have a back flow?

Thanks for posting
After going through your query carefully, normally blood from the limbs is carried by superficial veins (saphenous) to deeper veins (femoral).The junction where these veins meet have valves (unidirectional) to allow one way flow of blood. If these valves become incompetent then they allows back flow (Two way).This leads to symptom which you have.
