Question: RECENT DBS SURGURY 8 WEEKS AGO. LAST FRI HAD A FEVER AND ACHY, SAT WENT TO ER BLOOD WORK AND X RAY NORMAL. DID ONE IV ROISEIN AND GIVEN ANTIBOITICS, NEXT DAY MY FEVER GONE BUT AREA AROUND MY GENERATOR IN MY CHEST IS STILL SWOLLEN I JUST HAD ONE BECAUSE I HUNT ALSO THE PA IN DENVER PUT ME ON CEPKALEXION EVERY 4 HOURS. ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO TO GET SWEELING DOWN AND WHEN SHOULD I SEE RESULTS. XXXXXXX IF SWEELING STAYS UP I HAVE TO FLW TO DENVER IM IN KS.

There looks to be a gap of almost 7 weeks between surgery and the appearance of fever and swelling at the site of generator.
This is bit difficult to explain that the swelling after such a long gap.
Anyways-
I think you are on a correct antibiotic Cephalexine and is most suitable for the subcutaneous infection. The good thing is fever is gone means the antibiotic is working well.
You may please add a tablet like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac in three times a day doses ( if it suits well- you not allergic to it).
I hope to see the results within a few days. Please complete the course of 5 to 7 days / till the swelling resolves completely. Take a full bed rest. It helps in early recovery.
